the french way of life...(in paris)
... should definitely be the way life is meant to be.

ok take my statement with a pinch of salt, but believe you me, i wouldn't mind living with grand avenues and boulevards of shady green trees, charming but busy busy streets choc-a-bloc with patissieries and boulangeries, hoards of cheese and wine before and after meals, the laissez-faire way of life that causes everything to slow down by two notches.
slowing down but by no means dull-paced.
rather, its the kind of hazy summer laze that descends on you when i walk around paris. the type that causes you to feel lethargy even though you really havent done much in the day. its the kind of slow that makes you want to sit in the park and just bask in the present, being happy with life and knowing their you're so fortunate to be able to appreciate your existence like this, licking your sorbet and watching ducks paddle their way under the shadow of the concorde.
(this was day 2 of paris together with nair, manda and nicole when we just headed to the jardin des tuileries to chill)
i feel lazy now even as i type this, remembering my french holiday.
of course, we did all the necessary to-dos and other random things inbetween-
navigated the paris metropolitian (call it by its full name, messrs and madams! you cannot but adore the art noveau banner that frames almost every underground entrance):
climbed to level 2 of the eiffel:
getting abit lost (although nair does have fantastic army-scout worthy navigational skills):
(nair, u frown too much)
checking out napoleon's layered coffin:
lunch the budget-friendly way on the steps of musee d'orsay:
(and lunch rocks!)
visited the musees:
walk along the river seine:
paying homage to the grand dame of cathedrals:
stuff ourselves with falafels in le marais:
put flowers into each others hair (actually, only manda):
gape at marvellous frenchyfied windows and their flowers:
hiking up the arc the triomphe (which by the way, has a toilet up there):
(round round round we go)

that was the first 3 days that i spent in paris with my lovely buddies, nair, manda and nicole whom i believe are trudging across italy or southern france this moment. i hope you guys have lots more fun in europe darlings (and stay away from each others' necks)!
