watch notes on a scandal!

judi dench was excellent.

and if i were a hormone-raging teenage boy, i'd surely die of love and passion for the lithe cate blanchett. (but i wouldnt snog her.)

just got back from from watching notes on a scandal, and it is such a good film. worth the exaggerated amount of money that we spend in denmark watching movies. it was supposed to be letters of iwo jima because we caught flags of our fathers last year, and letters is meant to be the companion film. unfortunately for us, because letters was filmed in japanese, the subtitles were in danish... so no way either of us would get it.

but we got notes on a scandal instead and that was truly excellent. perfect casting of dame dench (NO ONE would have pulled it off like she did, i mean NO ONE.) and ms blanchett, a soundtrack that fitted the pace and tension of the script, and the marvellous script which seemed to be written just for judi dench. she was creepily fascinating. very psychopatic, but it was goooood.

and it helped that the boy in the middle of the scandal was kinda cute. :D
