happy like bird

'happy like bird' is a grammatically erroneous singlish phrase that i learnt. there is no such thing as 'happy like a bird' or even 'happy like birds'.

why am i 'happy like bird' today.

egad. its a macbook. and its kinda like sitting on my desk back home in singapore waiting for me to rip open the package and slobber all over it. i so dont deserve it. i really dont. MOM! DAD! you didnt have to do thisssssss. i consider myself indebted to my parents for the rest of my life (as if i werent before) because they've just paid for a new laptop and are financing my life on exchange. just shackle me to my house.

at the end of the day, fujitsu really sucks. one day it works just fine, and the next, it crashes without a word. and ive had to reinstall my microsoft office, configure my outlook, save new contacts. which isnt so bad, because i know of worse non-salvagable scenarios, BUT lousy crashing computers when you're in a foreign land is BAD NEWS. bad. bad. bad.

but on a lighter note, anyone would like to donate money to the 'get-terri-a-red-ipod-nano' for my birthday fund? seeing that i've already maxed out my 20gb trusty ipod, and take to culling music out of my ipod everyday?
