halloween at tivoli (lordag, 22 oktober)

singaporeans know our 7th month very well, dont walk into creepy dark alleys alone, dont step into cemeteries and dont stomp all over scattered ashes ( i can still vaguely remember my dear vanitha apologising profusely when she was forced to walk through some) and of course, the burning of hell notes for the pockets of departed souls.

well, halloween is a definitely happier affair. how come we dont have halloween ah! especially in tivoli, where, for the first time, a halloween themed event was being held. we managed to catch the last night (seeing that we've been trooping all across holland and belgium) and it was great! it was soooo purrtttyyy. orangey glows from the pumpkin heads, stacks of hay forming hay mazes, jack-o-lanterns and pumpkin scarecrows.

the pumpkin carving station where you can carve your very own pumpkin lantern for 50kr! what an expensive treat.

looks like the taj mahal got bombed by a very large pumpkin.

a new found favourite fried snack! CHURROS! hide with chocolate sauce (that rocked), me with soft ice (ditto) and sam's with cinnamon and sukker (original flavour). and then we had a 30cm tall cotton candy floss for that added sugar rush.
