taken at my last day of worship at TMC. jeanne, christabel, beat, me, karen, val, aaron, eugene, phil, nat, isaac. missing in action: ivan, adam, cybil, justina.
check out the awesome blue sky man. the weather was really great when i first arrived. sunny skies, very cool 19deg weather. summer in europe is the best! the first few pics on the top of the collage are me and dad at amager (pronounced amag), where there's an open air harbour pool which is only open in summer (makes alot of sense doesnt it) called 'Islands Brygge' and where we went to went the singapore consulate (who also doubles up the the philippine consulate among others). i also take my current danish lessons in amager where uni also has a campus. kobenhavns universitet (KU for short) basically has campus all over the place, scattered. they're currently trying to localise everything and putting most of them at amager, which is kinda good so that everything is nearby and accessible. and the buildings there are very zen and minimalist also. its was seriously no joke for me when i arrived at cph (copenhagen) to walk from street to street (around the corner isnt really around the corner) just to get from one office to another.
then we headed out to stroget again, found the stork fountain which is like a popular gathering place for hare krishna choruses and pretty high quality busking talents, except for some guy i saw yesterday who was just drumming with his hands (no talent there!). by that time we already met sam, em, miriam together with daniel and we lunched at the stork fountain. featured is my great halibut and dild dressing sandwich. oiieesshiiides! we walked around nyhavn (new harbour in danish) and then went over to the kongens have (kings garden) and botanisk have (botantic gardens). how come every city has a botantic gardens? but it definitely makes sense to picnic here rather than in singapore. or sit in the shade and read a book.
trying my first hand at making pasta in copenhagen. dont misunderstand, i have made pasta before, but its different in a different kitchen where things are not yours and no one to wash up after you. so i made dinner for dad and myself. :) sweet! but the pasta sucked. too long in the boil, so not aldente and we didnt buy any meat that night, so it was just plain old pomodoro.
