four wheels good, two wheels better

if singapore's institution is food, then denmark's institution is cycling.

everyone cycles, from kids, to teens, to old ah gongs and ah mahs on mountain bikes. i kid you not. the entire city of copenhagen, and i guess the rest of denmark as well, is one looong bicycle lane. for example, on the roads, there is one lane for the cars, one for the bikes and then the pedestrian pavement. hence, the conclusion is:
1. danes are very healthy
2. danes (most) have skinny thighs
3. roads are generally very wide

im still looking for a bike to buy. probably secondhand. its quite tiresome at night when you're walking alone and its dark out, and these people are whizzing by with their flickering lights going very fast. because whatever gets you home fast, and gets you home fast and safe is always good.

but, given my naturally short stature, i might just have to restort to getting a children's bike. i was at the bike shop the other day, and effortlessly entertained the shopkeeper with my antics trying to get onto the bike. because the saddle was above my waist. for every one of them. even before i could push off i was already falling off the bike. sigh!

anyway sorry rosh and peeks... no internet on my laptop thats strong enough for me to upload pictures. ;(
